The head coach of the Portuguese football club "Benfica", Jose Mourinho, has announced that he has not yet made a decision about his future, but the probability of staying in the team is very high.
Idman.Biz reports that the Portuguese specialist shared his thoughts after the 3:1 victory over "Estoril" in the 34th round of the Portuguese championship. Mourinho said that he received an offer from Benfica to extend the contract and is grateful to the club for this.
"Will I stay or will I leave? I don't know. I have an offer from Benfica to extend the contract and I am grateful to the club for that. There are negotiations between Jorge Mendes and the management at Real Madrid, but nothing has been signed yet. There is a 99 percent chance that I will stay at Benfica because there is one year left until the end of my contract and the extension offer looks interesting," said Mourinho.
According to Reuters, the 63-year-old specialist confirmed that there was no direct offer from Real Madrid, but his agent was in contact with the Spanish club. Mourinho emphasized that he needs time to make a decision and that this week will be important for his future.
Benfica has not lost a single match in the Portuguese championship since Mourinho's appointment. The Lisbon representative finished the season in third place with 80 points with 23 wins and 11 draws.
