Jorge Mas, co-owner of the US club Inter Miami, has revealed how much the club pays Argentine striker Lionel Messi.
Lent.az reports with reference to foreign media that he said that the football player fully justified these high costs:
"I need sponsors and they must be world-class, because football players are expensive. I pay Messi $70-80 million a year, including all fees."
It should be noted that in 2025, Messi won the MLS championship with Inter Miami.
Messi is a graduate of the Catalan club Barcelona. He played in the main team from 2003 to 2021. During this time, he participated in 835 matches and scored 709 goals. Messi won the Champions League four times with Barcelona, and in 2022 he won the World Championship with the Argentina national team. In addition, he won the Copa America twice and was awarded the Golden Ball eight times.
