The "Məktəbli Kuboku" tournament has started in Salyan within the framework of joint cooperation between AFFA and the State Agency for Preschool and General Education under the Ministry of Science and Education. Sport24.az reports that the first games were held after the opening ceremony.
A total of 48 schools participate in the tournament, including 7th grade boys, as well as 5th grade boys' and girls' teams.
After the internal championships are completed, the champion teams in each of the three categories will represent Salyan in regional competitions - Regional finals.
It should be noted that the main goal of the tournament is to increase the popularity of football among schoolchildren, promote a healthy lifestyle and support the formation of team spirit in children. Within the framework of the project, competitions will be held in all regions of the country and the winners will compete in the national championship.
