The legal battle between PSG and its former striker, Kylian Mbappe, has entered a new stage. A court bailiff arrived at the "Factory," the headquarters of the Paris club, and presented a payment demand for approximately €6 million. The amount in question is reportedly owed to Mbappe and corresponds to paid leave, as well as interest.
Lent.az reports that this move comes after a labor court decision at the end of December. According to that decision, PSG had to pay Kylian Mbappe a total of €60.9 million for unpaid salaries and bonuses during his time at the club. According to "L'Équipe," the Paris club paid €55 million, but the remaining €5.9 million has not yet been transferred.
Despite the court's interim enforcement decision, the non-payment of this amount has prompted Mbappe's side to take action through an enforcement officer. PSG has eight days to comply with the demand. Otherwise, there is a risk that the amount will be directly deducted from the club's bank accounts.
Paris Saint-Germain management, in a statement, said that salaries and bonuses had been paid in full and stressed that negotiations were continuing regarding the remaining amount. However, Mbappe denies this version. The club can appeal until February 19.
The confrontation between Mbappe and PSG is not limited to financial matters alone. The footballer, who now plays for Real Madrid, had previously initiated legal proceedings against his former club with allegations of moral pressure (psychological violence). At the center of the allegations is Mbappe's removal from the team's main squad in the summer of 2023 and his placement in a group called "loft." This practice, considered controversial in the football world, involves isolating some players from the main squad.
At that time, the world champion striker withdrew from this complaint in order to reduce legal tensions and focus solely on his performance on the pitch. Kylian Mbappe intends to wage a final and decisive legal battle in his relationship with PSG.
