"Qarabağ" defensive midfielder Marko Janković has been awarded the honorary prize of his birth city, Cetinje (Montenegro).
Idman.Biz reports that Marko Janković himself shared the information on his "Instagram" page.
It should be noted that this honorary award called "Plaketa Prijestonice Cetinje" is presented by the Cetinje city administration, the historical capital of Montenegro, to individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the development of the city.
"The most difficult and at the same time the greatest honor is to be recognized in one's own country. The award presented by the Cetinje city administration is an appreciation of the path, effort, and perseverance I have built outside the borders of my country. This award is both a great honor and an obligation for me—because knowing that it is not easy to be recognized in a strong competition dominated by bright athletes, I must justify this trust by striving for greater and better results.
I dedicate this award to my coaches Nikola Nino Milanović and Marko Marković, who taught me the first steps in Cetinje, as well as to my family, who are the foundation of everything. Great roads often start from muddy fields, and without those beginnings, today's results would not be possible.
Hoping for better results to continue on this path where I represent our city and state, I also express my deep gratitude to Mayor Nikola Djurašković," M. Janković noted in his post.
