Austria's striker Marko Arnautović became a record holder after scoring a "poker" in the match against San Marino (10:0) in the qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup.
"Report" reports, citing foreign media, that he became the highest-scoring player in the Austrian national team by scoring 4 goals in that match.
Arnautović, who has scored 45 goals for the national team, surpassed former Austrian player Toni Polster (44).
It should be noted that the 36-year-old striker has played for "Twente", "Werder", "Stoke City", "West Ham", "Shanghai", "Bologna", "Inter" and "Crvena Zvezda" at the club level. In total, he has scored 145 goals in 544 matches.
