Real Betis head coach Manuel Pellegrini has commented on Xabi Alonso's departure from the position of Real Madrid head coach.
Idman.Biz reports that Alonso has been the head coach of Real Madrid since last summer.
"I think it's a mistake to dismiss Xabi Alonso. The club is four points behind the leader in La Liga, but is still performing in the Champions League and the Copa del Rey. As a coach, you only depend on the maturity of the board," said Pellegrini.
It should be noted that Xabi Alonso, who left the post of head coach of Real Madrid, became the first coach after Pellegrini to manage the club in more than 30 matches without winning a trophy.
After Alonso's departure, Real Madrid announced the appointment of Alvaro Arbeloa to fill the vacant position. Arbeloa previously served as the coach of Real Madrid Castilla, the reserve team of Los Blancos.
