Manchester United is showing strong interest in Nottingham Forest's and the Ivory Coast national team's defensive midfielder, Ibrahim Sangaré. Scouts from the Manchester club have been impressed by the player's dominance in duels and the composure he demonstrates in tense situations.
İdman.Biz, citing Caught Offside, reports that the club is demanding a higher fee for the player they transferred in 2023 for approximately €35 million (70 million AZN). Nottingham Forest is expected to seek compensation of around €45-50 million (90-100 million AZN) for the 28-year-old's transfer.
This season, Sangaré has participated in 32 matches in all competitions, scoring two goals and providing three assists. The player's current contract with the club runs until the summer of 2028.
According to Transfermarkt, his market value is €22 million (44 million AZN).
It should be noted that Sangaré won the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations with the Ivory Coast national team.
