Former "Bayern" player Lothar Matthäus has announced that the Munich club is interested in "Manchester City" defender Joško Gvardiol. Sport24.az reports that the veteran footballer made a statement to the "Bayern & Germany" portal:
"I have a player in mind and I have heard that "Bayern" is already interested in him. A former Bundesliga player from Leipzig, currently playing for "Manchester City", plays as a left-back and centre-back."
Gvardiol has played 24 games in all competitions this season, scoring 2 goals and providing 5 assists. The 24-year-old Croatian missed part of the season due to injuries.
It should be noted that Gvardiol moved to "Manchester City" from "Leipzig" in 2023. According to "Transfermarkt", the value of the contract was 90 million euros. The defender's current value is 70 million euros. His contract with "City" runs until 2028.
