World champion Lionel Messi, an eight-time Ballon d'Or winner, has created the "Messi Cup" for youth teams.
Lent.az reports that he announced this on his Instagram page.
The tournament will be held in Miami, Florida, USA, from December 9–14.
According to the footballer, the tournament will feature Argentina's River Plate and Newell's Old Boys, America's Inter Miami, Spain's Barcelona and Atletico, England's Chelsea and Manchester City, as well as Italy's Inter.
