Barcelona's Polish striker Robert Lewandowski has repeated a historic achievement of two football legends of the 21st century, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, in Europe's top leagues.
Report reports this with reference to the Opta Sport statistics portal.
The 37-year-old forward achieved this feat in the 23rd round of La Liga in the match against Mallorca. The game ended with a 3-0 victory for the Catalans, and the footballer was remembered for his goal.
Thus, by scoring 10 goals in La Liga in the 2025/2026 season, Lewandowski became the third player in this century to score double-digit goals in Europe's top five leagues for 15 consecutive seasons. Before him, only Ronaldo (16 seasons) and Messi (15 seasons) achieved this result. Ronaldo did this in the Premier League (Manchester United), La Liga (Real Madrid) and Serie A (Juventus), and Messi in the French (PSG) and Spanish (Barcelona) championships.
The Polish striker has been playing for Barcelona since the summer of 2022. Before that, he scored goals for Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund. In the current season, he has participated in 28 games in all tournaments, scoring 13 goals and making three assists.
