Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad has parted ways with head coach Laurent Blanc.
Idman.biz reports that the decision was made after the team's 0-2 home defeat to Al-Nassr in the 4th round of the national championship.
The 59-year-old French specialist took charge of Al-Ittihad in July 2024. In his first season, he led the team to both the national championship and the King's Cup. Jeddah's representative, who started the new season with three consecutive victories, could not resist Sadio Mane's and Cristiano Ronaldo's goals in the match against Al-Nassr.
It should be noted that the team will be temporarily coached by Blanc's assistant, Hassan Khalifa. He will be supported by youth team coach Ivan Carrasco.
