The appeal of the "Turan Tovuz" club has been partially satisfied.
Idman.Biz reports that the AFFA Appeals Arbitration Tribunal has made a decision on this matter.
According to the investigation, Kurban Berdyev's actions were qualified under Article 53.1 of the AFFA Disciplinary Code. Therefore, the head coach of the "Turan Tovuz" team was disqualified for 3 matches, and the club itself was fined 6,000 manats.
It should be noted that on February 5 last year, in the 64th minute of the first match of the 1/4 final stage of the Azerbaijan Cup, "Turan Tovuz" - "Kapaz", Kurban Berdyev received a direct red card for pushing the referee, and then insulted the referees.
For this reason, the AFFA Disciplinary Committee imposed a 4-match disqualification on the coach and a fine of 10,000 manats on "Turan Tovuz".
By the decision of the Appeals Arbitration Tribunal, that decision was canceled and the penalty was reduced. The appeal was not satisfied in the remaining part.
The parties were also informed that it is possible to appeal against the decision to the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne.
