Qarabağ midfielder Kevin Medina commented on the team's performance in the UEFA Champions League stage after losing to Liverpool in the last, eighth round of the tournament.
According to İdman.Biz, referring to Public Television (İTV), the player noted that it is no longer possible to change the result of the match in England, but that the team as a whole completed this stage with dignity.
"Unfortunately, the result has already been determined and nothing can be done about it. Overall, we played against very strong opponents in this stage. All the teams were fighting for a place in the play-offs. Thank God we had good games. We scored enough points, achieved a historic result and qualified for the play-offs," Medina said.
The player also expressed his views on potential opponents in the play-offs:
"Both Newcastle and PSG are very high-level teams. They have their own style and history in world football. We will be able to talk more specifically about our opponents after the draw."
Medina also shared his impressions of participating in the Champions League.
"There is no football player in the world who does not dream of playing in this magnificent tournament. We also dreamed of playing in the Champions League with Qarabağ, a magnificent team. I enjoyed every game and tried to perform at the highest level in every game," added the Aghdam club player.
