"Ordabasy", who became the champion of Kazakhstan three years ago, has been put up for auction. Sport24.az reports that the TASS agency has released information about this.
According to the source, the starting price of 100 percent of the shares is approximately 224 million tenge, which is equivalent to $479,000.
The official auction will be held on May 28. Bids are accepted until that date, and participants must provide a security deposit of 33.6 million tenge (approximately $72,000). The seller is the Chimkent City Finance Department. Sale to a single participant is allowed.
The buyer must undertake to maintain the club's core business as a sports team, as well as at least two-thirds of its employees for ten years. Pledging of shares is prohibited. Changes to the logo or name require approval from local authorities. The new owner must also represent Chimkent in competitions held under the flag of the Kazakhstan Football Federation and develop youth and women's football.
It should be noted that "Ordabasy" is a two-time winner of the Kazakhstan Cup and Super Cup. The club took seventh place in the Premier League in the 2025 season. In February, the Chimkent administration signed a privatization memorandum with Integra Construction KZ, but the agreement was not officially approved.
