40-year-old Kathleen Krüger will become the new sports director of "Hamburg" starting in the summer of 2026. Sport24.az reports that this was announced on the club's official website.
As a football player, Krüger played for "Bavaria" from 2003 to 2009 and remained in the Munich team as a coach after finishing her career. She later worked as an assistant in the board of directors at "Bavaria" and most recently held the post of leading expert in sports strategy and development.
It should be noted that Krüger has gone down in history as the first woman to be appointed sports director in the Bundesliga.
