Stavros Dimostenus, the president of the Cypriot football club "Karmiotissa", was shot and killed on a city highway. Sport24.az reports that the incident was carried out by a person riding a motorcycle.
Police officers immediately arrived at the scene and closed the highway.
According to reports, the crime was intentional, and suspects are being sought. An investigation is underway into the incident.
It should be noted that 49-year-old Stavros Dimostenus has managed the club since 2023. Shortly before, the club's head coach, Russian Alexander Kerzhakov, had a conflict with the management and left the team.
