A new council, "Football Legends of Ganja," has been established under the Kapaz Professional Football Club. Sport24.az reports that the club's press service has released information about this.
The event held in connection with the issue was attended by Ruslan Mammadov, head of infrastructure of Kapaz PFK, Ali Rahimov, selection coach, Azer Bagirov, head coach of the team, assistant coach Zaur Asadov, as well as former football players who left a deep mark on Ganja football.
The meeting participants first commemorated with a minute of silence the memory of the martyrs who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of our country, as well as the deceased football players.
Later, Ruslan Mammadov, the club's infrastructure manager, spoke about the purpose of establishing the council. He said that the main goal of the council is to preserve the historical heritage of Ganja football and to strengthen the connection between experienced football players and the younger generation.
R.Mammadov also announced the motto of the council - "Legends do not remain in the past - they build the future".
He nominated Ali Rahimov for the post of chairman of the council. The participants supported the proposal and Ali Rahimov was elected chairman of the "Football Legends of Ganja" council. Expressing his gratitude for the trust, Ali Rahimov spoke about the future plans of the council and emphasized the importance of joint activities in the direction of development of Ganja football.
At the end of the event, former football players expressed their opinions, shared their suggestions and comments. A souvenir photo was taken with the meeting participants.
