"All my thoughts are about "Qarabag". I still have a two-year contract with the club".
These words were said by "Qarabag"'s Colombian footballer, Kamilo Duran.
The 24-year-old midfielder stated that the rumors about his departure from Azerbaijan do not reflect the truth.
"I can't say what will happen at the end of the season. But I am loyal to the club and my contract continues," he said in a statement to teleqraf.az.
Duran also shared his thoughts on the game (1:1) against "Gabala" in the 31st round of the Azerbaijan Premier League:
"We knew it would be a difficult game. Unfortunately, we couldn't win. We need to prepare for the next game. We will rest and prepare for the upcoming match".
He also responded to the opinion that the previous spirit in the team was gone after the championship was lost:
"There is absolutely nothing like that. Which team would want to lose?! "Qarabag" is a team that is always used to winning. But sometimes it doesn't work out".
The legionary footballer also spoke about the "Sabah" - "Zira" game in the final of the Azerbaijan Cup: "I will not support any team in the final. May the best one win".
It should be noted that Kamilo Duran moved to "Qarabag" from the Portuguese club "Portimonense" last summer. In the current season, he played in 29 games in the Azerbaijan Premier League, scoring 8 goals and 8 assists. In the UEFA Champions League, he scored 5 goals and 1 assist in 10 matches.
