Barcelona president Joan Laporta has commented on press reports about both Lionel Messi and Lamine Yamal. According to Sport24.az, Laporta denied rumors in an interview with Catalunya Radio that Messi would return to the team on a short-term loan.
"Out of respect for Messi, our players, and our fans, I can say that this is not a real scenario. Now is not the time to discuss such things," Laporta emphasized.
The president also praised the behavior and development rate of 18-year-old Lamine Yamal:
"Lamine Yamal enjoys life and is incredibly mature for his age. His lifestyle does not worry me."
"The young footballer needs the support of both the club and the people around him. He is a true professional, trains hard every day, and this will take him to an even higher level in the future," the club president said.
