"Brighton" midfielder James Milner has entered the Guinness World Records for the record of most appearances in the English Premier League. The 40-year-old footballer, who appeared in the match against "Brentford" on February 21, 2026 (2:0), has increased his number of games in the championship to 654.
Idman.Biz reports that with this indicator, he surpassed the record of 653 games held by Gareth Barry for a long time. Representatives of the Guinness World Records came to Brighton's training base yesterday and presented Milner with a special certificate confirming this historic achievement.

Milner has played for "Leeds", "Newcastle", "Aston Villa", "Manchester City", "Liverpool" and "Brighton" during his 24-year Premier League career. He also holds records as the player with the most consecutive seasons (24) in the Premier League and the longest time difference between his first and last goal (22 years 248 days).
It should be reminded that the new owner of the record has been the Premier League champion three times during his career.
