Ilian Iliev has resigned as the head coach of the Bulgarian national football team. Sport24.az reports that the Bulgarian Football Federation has released information about this.
In his statement, the specialist expressed hope that the change of head coach would reduce tensions around the team.
It should be noted that the Bulgarian national team lost to Spain and Georgia in the qualifying round for the 2026 World Cup. Iliev has been in this position since 2023.
