The goal of the Azerbaijani national beach soccer team is to qualify for League A by reaching the final at the European Superfinal, which will be held in Italy in September.
"Report" reports that the head coach of the team, Sahib Mammadov, said this in a statement to the AFFA press service.
The specialist evaluated the matches of the first qualifying round (EBSL) of the European Championship held in Spain:
"Although we lost to Lithuania in the last game of the group, we won the first two matches and qualified for the Superfinal. With this, we coped with the main task. I would attribute the result in the match with Lithuania to fatigue. Because we had to spend a lot of energy in the first match with England. Anyway, regardless of the result of the match with Lithuania, we had secured a place in the Superfinal. The last match would only determine the group winner. Our next goal will be to reach the final at the European Superfinal to be held in Italy in September and qualify for League A."
It should be noted that our national team, which won against England (5:4) and Belgium (11:2) in Group A of League B, lost to Lithuania (3:4). Our team, which finished the group in second place with 5 points, qualified for the Superfinal to be held in Italy between September 7-14.
