Hans-Dieter Flick, the head coach of the Spanish club "Barcelona", may leave the club at the end of the current season.
"Report" reports, citing "Marca", that whether the German specialist stays in the team will depend on the results of the presidential elections to be held on March 15.
The experienced head coach considers himself a member of the current president Joan Laporta's team. Flick is ready to sign a new contract only if Laporta is re-elected. For this reason, no official steps will be taken to extend the contract until July 1.
Another presidential candidate, Victor Font, has also stated that he wants to keep Flick in the team if he is elected.
It should be noted that Hansi-Dieter Flick has been managing "Barcelona" since May 2024. Under his leadership, the Catalan representative won the Spanish championship, the national cup, and the super cup in the first season.
