Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola has shared his thoughts on the upcoming UEFA Champions League second leg against Real Madrid.
Idman.Biz reports that the Spanish club won the first leg 3-0.
"If the players don't believe [that they will come back after conceding three goals], that's their problem. They are adults; they get good salaries. If they don't believe it in the Champions League, then let them go home, stay at home. We have to try. What will we lose?
Has "Real Madrid" never been able to make a comeback in its history? I don't know how many times - in 50 Champions League games - they have never been able to make a comeback from 3-0. Of course, this is a disappointing result. But we must try out of respect for people, fans and our work.
This is football and anything can happen. We have to focus and try to win the game first, then we'll see. We have to put on a good game with the support of our fans and I hope they will give us strength. We will do our best to achieve this," Guardiola told ESPN.
The return match will take place tomorrow, March 17, at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester.
