"Gabala" became the nominal home team in the Premier League promotion play-off

The nominal home team has been determined for the Premier League promotion play-off match.

Idman.Biz reports that, according to the results of the draw held in the Professional Football League, "Gabala" became the nominal home team.

Representatives of the PFL, the 11th-placed team of the Premier League "Gabala", and "Mingachevir", which took second place in the last round of the First League, participated in the draw ceremony.

The PFL was represented by Elvin Yaqubov, chief specialist of the Department of Organization and Registration of Competitions, "Gabala" by sports director Sabuhi Safiyarli, and "Mingachevir" by Ruslan Hamidov, deputy chairman of the Board.

After the draw, a meeting was held between the club representatives and the Professional Football League. At the meeting, Elgiz Abbasov, technical and sports director of the PFL, provided information about the rules of the play-off game, initial organizational issues, and other points to be taken into account. The club officials' plans for the game were also heard.

According to the decision of the Professional Football League, the play-off game for promotion to the Premier League will be held on May 28 at the "SOCAR Polymer Arena". The match will start at 18:30 and will be broadcast live on "CBC Sport" TV channel.

The VAR system will be applied in the match.
