Fuzuli Mammadov, the head coach of the Azerbaijani football team "Karvan-Yevlakh", touched upon the difficult journey the team went through during the season after the 33rd round of the Misli Premier League ended with a 1:1 draw with "Imishli".
Idman.Biz reports that the specialist thanked his players at the press conference held after the match.
"The game had no significance in terms of the tournament table. But the players wanted to win, we saw a good fight on the field. We finished the season, we had a tough journey. Unfortunately, our team rolled into the First League. The players suffered on the field. I thank my players very much for the whole season. I am grateful to everyone who has put in effort. Although we could not achieve what we wanted. But the season is over, I wish every player success," said Fuzuli Mammadov.
The head coach also clarified the issue of whether he will stay in the team in the new season. According to him, the final decision on this will be made after a meeting with the club management.
"I really want us to be ambitious in the First League, even if we fall into it, and return to the Premier League again. I guess we will have a meeting with the management in this direction tomorrow. Of course, if there are conditions and requirements that I want, I will stay in the team. There are good players in this team who can help us in the First League as well. If the conditions are good, we will talk to the players, they will stay in the team. But the priority is the desire of the management," he noted.
