French national team footballer Désiré Doué was injured before the match against the Azerbaijan national team in Baku in the qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup. Sport24.az reports that the 20-year-old winger, who plays for PSG, was injured in the X round of Ligue 1 in the match against Lorient (1:1) and left the field on a stretcher.
He will need several weeks to recover.
Désiré Doué was unable to participate in the match against Azerbaijan in October (3:0) due to injury. In the current season, the footballer has scored 4 goals and 3 assists in 15 matches for PSG.
It should be noted that the Azerbaijan-France match will be held on November 16.
