Former head coach of "Khazar Lankaran" club, John Benjamin Toshack, has been diagnosed with a rare disease.
Lent.az reports that his son, Cameron Toshack, informed foreign media about this.
According to him, his father has been diagnosed with dementia. John Benjamin Toshack has difficulty remembering today's events, but enjoys remembering his football-related past: "It's a terrible disease, it affects his short-term memory. I talk to him almost every day. If we talk after lunch, he may not remember what we talked about in the morning."
It should be noted that C. Toshack has worked as a coach in clubs such as "Sporting", "Real Sociedad", "Real", "Deportivo", "Besiktas". In 2013, he was the head coach of the Azerbaijani club "Khazar Lankaran".
