"We played against Athletic 10 years ago. Of course, there is a difference between the teams." These words were said by Ilkin Qirtimov, who currently wears the uniform of "Zaqatala", in his statement to Sport24.az.
The 34-year-old defender, who played in the match against the Spanish representative as part of "Inter" (now "Shamakhi") in 2015, shared his thoughts on the "Athletic" - "Qarabagh" match to be held today in the Champions League:
"Football is developing day by day. At that time, there was a great atmosphere in the match in Spain. But "Qarabagh" will not have difficulties with the atmosphere. The team has been participating in such matches for many years. They have almost gotten used to it. I think that "Qarabagh" will play head-to-head with this opponent. I believe that our representative will achieve a positive result."
