The International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) has announced on its official website that the two international breaks held annually in September and October have been combined.
Idman.biz reports that the rule will take effect in the fall of 2026.
Now, the international autumn break will take place from September 21 to October 6. During this period, national teams will also be able to play more than four matches, but FIFA hopes that such a decision will reduce the number of injuries among football players. In addition, players will have to fly to the national team headquarters less often.
