Tension has arisen between "Galatasaray" and "Fenerbahçe". Earlier, the press service of the "Galatasaray" club, in a statement, claimed that the former president of "Fenerbahçe", Ali Koç, threatened the team's head coach, Okan Buruk. "The Yellow-Reds" stated that Ali Koç used his influence to threaten the Turkish specialist, adding that they would not allow such cases and that they stood behind Okan Buruk.
Sport24.az reports that after this post, the "Fenerbahçe" club also issued a statement to the public.
In their statement, "The Yellow-Navy Blues" noted that artificial polemics were created around Ali Koç, and announced that they strongly rejected such accusations. The club stated that it is not correct to create tension in the Turkish sports community with off-field statements.
In its statement, "Fenerbahçe" also emphasized that sound thinking, responsibility and justice are the main needs of Turkish sports, and stated that they are against polemics that confront the public.
