Tension has arisen between "Galatasaray" and "Fenerbahce." Previously, the press service of "Galatasaray" club, in a statement, claimed that the former president of "Fenerbahce," Ali Koc, threatened the team's head coach, Okan Buruk. The "red-yellows" stated that Ali Koc used his influence to threaten the Turkish specialist, adding that they would not allow such cases under any circumstances and that they stand behind Okan Buruk.
Sport24.az reports that after this post, "Fenerbahce" club also made a statement to the public.
The "yellow-dark blues" stated in their statement that artificial polemics were created around Ali Koc, and they strongly rejected such accusations. The club stated that it is not right to create tension in the Turkish sports community with off-field statements.
"Fenerbahce" also emphasized in its statement that sound thinking, responsibility, and justice are the main needs of Turkish sports, and stated that they are against polemics that confront the public.
