Former head coach of the Russian national team, Boris Ignatyev, has died.
İdman.Biz reports that he passed away at the age of 85.
Boris Ignatyev was diagnosed with cancer in December 2024.
It should be noted that the famous specialist coached the Russian national team in 1996-1998. Under his leadership, Arif Asadov, who played for the USSR youth team (U-19), won the European champion title in 1988.
