The U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan has shared a congratulatory post on the transfer of national football player Nariman Akhundzade to the Columbus Crew club representing the state of Ohio.
"Report" informs that the post says:
"We sincerely congratulate Azerbaijani football star Nariman Akhundzade on signing a contract with the Columbus Crew club representing the state of Ohio, USA! The talented young striker, who has gained wide popularity with his bright and memorable performances in "Qarabag", is the first Azerbaijani football player to sign a contract with the US Major League Soccer (MLS) league."
The Embassy also wished the "Qarabag" club success and a confident victory in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League play-off stage against "Newcastle" tonight.
