There are shortcomings in the Azerbaijan national team consisting of football players under 19 years old.
According to "Report", the head coach of the team, Elkhan Abdullayev, made a statement about this.
He shared his thoughts after the second test match (1:3) held with the local team within the framework of the training camp organized in Uzbekistan:
"We played two games against a strong opponent. In the first match, the dominance was with the opponent. They were ahead of us in individual skills. Nevertheless, our football players showed character, fought to the end and, as a result, drew 0:0. Despite our defeat, our team played the second match better. We had rotations in the squad, we gave new players a chance. We also opened the score with an early goal. However, the fact that the Uzbekistan national team has more qualified players played a decisive role in the end. Although we lost, we outperformed the opponent in the created goal opportunities. Overall, I am satisfied with the training camp. Of course, we have shortcomings, we will work on them."
It should be noted that a 0:0 draw was recorded in the first match between the teams, which was held on October 9.
