The draw for the 2025/2026 season of the Higher Women's League, organized under the auspices of AFFA, has taken place. Sport24.az reports that at the draw ceremony held in the AFFA administrative building, AFFA Secretary General Jahangir Farajullayev first spoke and wished success to the teams participating in the tournament.
Later, Zumrud Aghayeva, head of the AFFA Women's Football Department, provided information on the championship regulations. Compared to the previous season, the number of teams in the AFFA Higher Women's League has doubled. Thus, the championship, which will be organized with the participation of 12 teams, will consist of two rounds and will be held according to the round-robin system on a home-away basis.
The first round matches of the AFFA Higher Women's League will be held on October 9-12.
