Dominik Szoboszlai wants to repeat the record of Liverpool players in the Champions League match against Qarabag on January 28.
Idman.Biz reports that Soboszlai could become the sixth Liverpool player to score in four consecutive European matches, after Roger Hunt, Robbie Fowler, Steven Gerrard (twice), Djibril Cisse and Mohamed Salah (twice).
This is reported on the club's website.
Szoboszlai has scored eight goals for Liverpool in the 2025/26 season.
A number of other statistical facts are also given on the English club's website:
Qarabag will be Liverpool's 139th opponent in European competitions. The Reds have never played against an Azerbaijani club before.
Of Liverpool's previous 138 European opponents, only four have faced them only once - Alaves, Bologna, CSKA Moscow and Girona - and Liverpool have won all four.
Liverpool enter the final game of the main stage in fourth place, and a win guarantees a ticket to the 1/16 finals. Arne Slot's team could even take third place.
