The depreciation of the dollar has affected UEFA's financial expenses in 2025. Sport24.az reports that this was reported by ESPN, citing the organization's annual report.
The supreme football body lost 47 million euros due to the 9 percent depreciation of the dollar in the first months of last year.
UEFA was forced to cover expenses from internal reserves, and after all operations, this amount amounted to 521.8 million euros. This figure is in line with the union's plan to keep reserves at a minimum of 500 million euros to ensure the financing of 55 football associations.
However, UEFA considered the results of asset management for 2025 to be "disappointing".
