Dirk Kuyt has been appointed as the head coach of "Dordrecht". Sport24.az reports that the 44-year-old Dutch specialist has signed a 1-year contract with the club, which plays in the second division of his country.
Kuyt's previous job was the Belgian team "Beerschot", which he led from the end of December 2023.
As for "Dordrecht", the team finished 5th in the "Eerste Divisie" in the 2024/25 season and advanced to the second stage of the play-offs for promotion to the Eredivisie, but lost to "Willem II".
It should be noted that Kuyt spent most of his football career at Liverpool, and also played in the attacking line of Fenerbahce from 2012-2015. He scored 24 goals in 104 games for the Netherlands national team from 2004-2014.
