Former Turkish FIFA referee Cüneyt Çakır has been appointed to the match that "Qarabag" will play in the first round of the UEFA Champions League main stage. Sport24.az reports that the former referee, who currently works as the chairman of the Referees Committee of the Georgian Football Federation, will be the referee inspector of the match that the "stallions" will play against "Benfica" in Portugal.
He performed the same function in the match that the Aghdam team played against French "Lyon" in Baku in the main stage of the Europa League last season.
It should be noted that the "Benfica" - "Qarabag" match, which will be held in Lisbon on September 16, will start at 23:00 Baku time.
