Napoli head coach Antonio Conte is close to leaving the team at the end of the season. Sport24.az, citing La Gazzetta Dello Sport, reports that the main option for the experienced specialist's future career is the Italian national team.
According to the source, Conte was recently asked about a possible return to the Skuadra Azzurra. The experienced coach's response, "If I were the president of the federation, I would consider myself," was not unequivocally received in the Napoli camp. Immediately after this statement, club president Aurelio De Laurentiis had a private conversation with the coach to clarify the situation. The parties, not wanting to spoil relations, planned to part ways at the end of the season in an atmosphere of mutual understanding.
It should be noted that in the two seasons Conte spent, he won the fourth championship in the club's history, won the Super Cup and brought the team back to the Champions League.
