Napoli head coach Antonio Conte has commented on the UEFA Champions League match against Chelsea.
Idman.Biz reports that the specialist noted the significant difference in transfer opportunities between the two clubs.
"If you have the ability to spend more than 100 million euros on 22-year-old players... Everyone knows how to buy at these prices, and I would ask my president to do the same. The problem is that only a few can do this, no one in Italy can, but in England there are those who can go and buy like Real Madrid in Spain. This is a significant investment, and then they say, "we invest in young players." I understand, but who in Italy would spend 70 million euros on a 16-year-old player? The reality in England is different, completely different from ours. That's how they achieve dominance, and that's what's happening now," Conte was quoted as saying by Sky Sport Italia.
The Napoli-Chelsea match will take place on January 28.
After seven rounds of the Champions League main stage, Napoli is in 25th place in the standings with eight points.
