Former head coach of the Russian national team, Boris Ignatyev, has passed away.
Idman.Biz reports that he died at the age of 85.
Boris Ignatyev was diagnosed with cancer in December 2024.
It should be noted that the well-known specialist coached the Russian national team in 1996-1998. Arif Asadov, who played in the USSR youth team (U-19) under his leadership, won the European Championship title in 1988.
