Former head coach of the Russian national team, Boris Ignatiev, has passed away.
Idman.Biz reports that he died at the age of 85.
Boris Ignatiev was diagnosed with cancer in December 2024.
It should be noted that the famous specialist coached the Russian national team in 1996-1998. Arif Asadov, who played in the USSR youth team (U-19) under his leadership, won the European Champion title in 1988.
