Chingiz Huseynzade, Vice President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC), believes that the "Qarabag" club will qualify for the next stage of the UEFA Champions League.
The NOC official made a statement about this to "Report".
He said that he watched all the matches of the Azerbaijani representative in the continent's number one club tournament: "We have a chance to advance to the next round. I believe that we can qualify for the next stage. It is enough to say that last season we participated in the UEFA Europa League and finished the main stage in the last place with 3 points. This year we are in the Champions League and we already have 6 points. Both getting into the Champions League and achieving good results here is already a success for "Qarabag".
The Vice President of the NOC emphasized that the "kholan horses" can achieve a positive result in home matches: "Our opponents in the league stage are very strong. But they can be defeated. I think that "Qarabag" will win their next points in home games in Baku".
It should be noted that "Qarabag" is ranked 13th with 6 points after three rounds in the main stage of the Champions League. The team will face England's "Chelsea" club in Baku on November 5.
