According to the source, the 23-year-old goalkeeper is ready to leave "Brighton" this summer. "Chelsea" are interested in buying Verbruggen to create competition for Robert Sanchez. The German giants see the Dutch footballer as a replacement for 39-year-old Manuel Neuer.
This season, Verbruggen has made 26 appearances in all competitions and has kept a clean sheet five times. His current contract with the club runs until the summer of 2028. According to Transfermarkt, the player's market value is 35 million euros.
