Winger Max Dowman has signed a preliminary contract with London club Arsenal.
Idman.Biz reports that Dowman was previously the youngest player in Champions League history.
"We are delighted to announce that Max Dowman has signed a preliminary contract with the club, which will allow him to sign a professional contract when he turns 17 in December. Max joined our academy at the age of eight and has come through Hale End to start breaking records at youth level. He made his debut for the U18 team at just 13 years old and became the youngest goalscorer in UEFA Youth League history at 14 years old. Max is equally effective as both a striker and a winger. His technique, vision and versatility make him one of the most exciting young talents in England.
Max will be retiring from the club this summer. He has currently scored 27 goals and provided 10 assists in 34 matches in our academy at U18 and U21 levels," Arsenal's official website reports.
This season, Dowman has made five appearances for the Gunners' senior team in all competitions.
