Dani Carvajal, the defender of the Spanish football team "Real Madrid", participation in the 2026 World Cup is seriously questioned.
İdman.Biz reports that the 34-year-old football player was not included in the latest squad of the Spanish national team. The official page of the Spanish Football Federation listed Moskera, Grimaldo, Kubarsi, Marcos Llorente, Huysen, Pedro Porro, Laporte and Cucurella as defenders, while Carvajal was not on the list.
This further weakened the experienced right-back's prospects of participating in the 2026 World Cup. Earlier, the head coach of the Spanish national team, Luis de la Fuente, said that he had not completely written off Carvajal, but that he had to prove his physical condition and form.
Carvajal played only one game for the Spanish national team in 2025. The defender, whose playing practice has decreased in "Real Madrid", was racing against time to return to his previous level before the World Cup.
At the 2026 World Cup, the Spanish national team will compete with Cabo Verde, Saudi Arabia and Uruguay in Group H.
