Cape Verde has reached the final stage of the World Cup for the first time in its history. Sport24.az reports that the team from this African country qualified for the 2026 World Cup after defeating Eswatini yesterday.

Cape Verde's national team earned 23 points in Group D, surpassing Cameroon, which has 19 points after 10 games.
It should be noted that the 2026 World Cup will be held in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. For the first time, 48 teams will participate in the tournament.
